Maitri Midwifery provides full service doula monitrice services.
What is Monitrice care? Is a Monitrice the same thing as a doula?
Monitrice care is a blend of doula support and clinical care. A Monitrice is a trained professional with training in the medical field. She is trained and has has experience with maternal vitals, monitoring fetal heart tones, checking cervical progress (if requested), neonatal resuscitation, breastfeeding and postpartum care. A Monitrice will also perform doula support. Once in a hospital setting a Monitrice will not perform clinical tasks and will only perform doula support. A Monitirce does provide postpartum support, assessing breastfeeding, newborn concerns, and referring to other professionals as needed.

As a trained professional, I do ask fair compensation for my services. However, I also truly value the positive benefits of doula care, and do not want financial need to make those services inaccessible to mothers who desire them. Every woman deserves a Doula. Payment arrangements can be made for those who feel they cannot afford my fees. Military and other service related discounts are available.
I have a National Provider Identification (NPI) and can bill your insurance for my services.
